because there is so much beauty in the world

SUNSET. A ROAD FROM NOWHERE TO NOWHERE. A CAR RUNNING.

why do you cry? asked the man.
...because there is so much beauty in the world, said the little girl, looking out the window.
the man laughed.
and is that a reason to cry? ask the man amused.
may be, said the shy girl. because no one stops to see. nobody sees anymore. we all run or drive too fast to see. look at us. the sun is going down and we don't even say goodbye 'till tomorrow.
should we say goodbye each day the sun declines?
yes! and good morning each day we lay eyes on him. each and every morning. this way he won't feel alone. he would shine with joy for us, more and more...
and if there's a day with no sun? with rain?
we should be polite to rain too. maybe it won't last so long if we greet it.
so we should talk to the sun and the rain? the man giggles.
not only! we should talk to trees once in a while, to flowers and to that beautiful grass in the park. we should listen the birds sing - they speak with us that way. and doggies. and cats. we should be more careful with all around us.
but when would we have the time to do all that? we must think things we do each day, we must speak to other people, we must eat and wash and sleep. we must work... we have so much to do... when can we find the time? asked the man seriously.
you see!... i've told you... nobody sees anymore. nobody finds the time anymore. nobody listens anymore. we're all in such hurry. and it's so tiering. it's too much. and so, this much beauty is wasted for us, and we don't even notice... it's not the end of the world if we stop once in a while just to see all, to acknowledge the world we live in...
and the girl starts to cry again, in silence.

the car stops. the sun is going down, the last seconds of the sunset. up on the hood, the man and the little girl are watching the sun. cars pass by them on the road. the girl cuddles to the man. looks up to him.
say good night, dad!
good night... and you, get in the car! i'll wake you very early tomorrow, to say good morning...
